A Trustworthy Los Angeles Loan Modification Firm
Losing a home to foreclosure is one of the most difficult experiences a family can live through. Financial troubles add stress and anxiety; uncertainty of the future brings fear; and the inability to make payments that were once an afterthought hurts self-confidence. At Siringo Law Firm, we specialize in Los Angeles loan modification, and we understand that good people can struggle, especially during global economic turmoil. That is why we focus on helping families keep their homes through a process known as home loan modification. Modifying your home loan can help make monthly payments more affordable. Depending on your current circumstances, making changes to your original home loan can be as minor as altering the length of the terms, or adjusting the interest rate. As loan modification specialists, we will do everything we can to help you and your family stay in your home.
Qualifying for Home Loan Modification
In the past, loan modification was primarily reserved for homeowners who were already in default, meaning a lender had already started the foreclosure process. Today, homeowners are able to modify their home loans well before they default. You may be able to qualify for a modification to your home loan if you fall into one of the following categories:
- You have an adjustable rate mortgage
- You have recently lost your job
- Your interest-only mortgage loan is converting into an amortizing loan
- You or your family has experienced a medical emergency that has increased your monthly expenses
- You are facing other hardships such as divorce, a death in the family, or military service
- You owe more on your property than it is currently worth
- You have fallen behind on your monthly payments
- You are currently in the foreclosure process
Considering a Home Loan Modification?
If you are considering modifying your home loan, it is important to remember that a loan modification is a permanent change in the terms of your home loan. If you are currently in default, a home loan modification will allow for your loan to be reinstated, enabling you to keep your home and return to good standing with the lender. The main purpose of a loan modification is to help you keep your home and make your monthly payments more affordable, ensuring that you will be able to keep your home in the future.
